    breakfast basket

    road noise

Oh mate, the breakfast basket was a total gem—fresh fruits and delicious treats right at your door! And don't get me started on the quirky decor. it was such a joy to wander around and soak it all in. Plus, sharing a laugh with Melissa, the wonderful host, made the stay even better!

Now, while there wasn't a private car park, you could pop over to the one opposite. As for the road noise, we're used to the peaceful countryside, so it was a bit of a change, but it didn't take away from the charm of the place.

    noise from next door

this place is just too adorable! stayed for 1 night in the standard king room and loved the quirky decor. breakfast basket was fab with so many tasty options, it was way better than a full english. melissa is such a warm and friendly host, made us feel so comfy. loved hearing the church bells, they were charming and didn’t bother us at all!

the check-out time could’ve been later, we didn’t want to leave so soon. also, the noise from next door was sometimes a bit much.

    The reasons I’m conflicted

The breakfast basket was delightful, filled with fresh fruits and delicious treats. The vibrant decor and unique touches throughout truly enhanced my stay, making it memorable.

Though the comfort was great, the noise from neighboring rooms was quite noticeable at times.

A Quirky Getaway with a Fantastic Breakfast

I absolutely loved my stay! The room was filled with retro decor that took me back to my childhood, and the views of the nearby castle from my window were stunning. Melissa's breakfast basket was a highlight, offering a variety of tasty local goodies that made mornings special. Just a heads up, the church clock does chime quite often at night, but it adds to the character of the place!

The quirky retro decor was a real standout, bringing a fun vibe that's hard to find elsewhere. The breakfast basket was packed with fresh goodies like artisan breads and even smoked salmon, making mornings feel special.

The main light in the room could use some extra brightness – it was a bit dim for my taste. There were intermittent flashes from an unknown source behind the TV, which could be distracting, and you might find the clock tower chiming throughout the night a tad annoying if you're a light sleeper. Parking is a bit of a trek, requiring a five-minute walk from the nearest long-stay car park.

We had the most delightful stay! The quirky decor kept surprising us everywhere, and the breakfast in a basket was such a treat—so refreshing compared to the usual! My only wish was for a later check-out to enjoy it all a bit longer.

    minimal privacy
    limited bathroom space

Exceptional stay with uniquely decorated rooms that made the atmosphere inviting. Breakfast in a picnic basket allowed a leisurely meal while enjoying the charming surroundings. The fantastic location made it easy to explore nearby attractions, although noise from adjacent rooms was sometimes distracting. A bit more privacy would enhance the experience.
